Picture Perfect

We traveled to northern California for Thanksgiving this year, like every year. It seems like this "thanksgiving post" comes around all too often. Not that it's a bad thing, we love visiting with family. I'm simply saying time is going too fast!

I had the privilege to borrow the Nikon camera, again. I love it. I want one, but they are uber expensive. So, to get out of buying one, my husband insists on borrowing his Dad's.

That won't work forever. ahem.

It's so nice to be in a town with a fall season. The pretty colors, the leaves, the crisp air, and cloud covered sky. These all make it a great opportunity to take some photos. These are just 4 of the 300 photos I took. Maybe i'll get around to posting more.

Maybe not.

I've read that your always supposed to leave them wanting more. Did it work?

Pun'kin Pickin'

We wanted to take the kids to a pumpkin patch. We wanted the whole fun, with the hale barrel rides, face painting, bouncy house, the works.

Apparently, so did everyone else.

There were literally bus loads of school kids running the show. We didn't have the time to stand in the long lines, so we just visited the pumpkin patch instead. We didn't come home with any pumpkins, well, real pumpkins. Just pictures.

See...

I also thought i'd show off Zayden's costume. It's a giraffe, with a big 'ol backside. It was 10 bucks, at Costco.

I know, great find eh? I'm sure next year he will want the $50 batman outfit, so this year I made up for it.

Always thinking ahead.

Half way there.

I can't believe that in 6 months she will be 1. Seriously?!

She is just under 16 lbs, which is average.

She is a pro at sitting up. It is actually what she prefers to do, you know, other than laying down. She babbles, eats everything in site, and loves to laugh.

I am making all of my own baby food. Tough, but worth it. She just won't eat the rice cereal that I attempt to grind into dust. I'm assuming it's the texture. She just gags.

Zayden loves to push my [her] buttons. He will purposely push her over, usually with one finger, while looking strait at me with that look in his eye. Isn't it funny they know the thing that sets you off the most...

anyways, Sienna is 6 months, and as sweet as ever.

Sienna can eat.

I finally got the charger for my camera, so were were finally able to start Sienna on rice cereal.

Didn't go so well.
Happy.

Look at those eyes...

and out it came. (most of the time)

not so happy.

really, all done?!? thank you.

Since then, Sienna scarfs her cereal, and her peas, and her sweet potatoes, and her apples. She got over that whole yucky texture thing pretty quickly. She loves her food.

Cutest Toddler Ever

Zayden loves his bath time and never wants to get out. I always give him a 5 minute warning, which works every time. During this 5 minutes, I get his diaper and clothes ready and find his towel. I get back in and tell him he only has 2 minutes left, which usually he disputes, but that never gets too far.

This night I gave him the 5 minute warning, went to do my usual business but heard Zayden singing the "clean-up song" in the tub. I peek around the corner and he has unplugged the drain, put all of his toys neatly on the edge of the tub and got out to watch the water go down the drain. All without me prompting him.

Cutest Toddler Ever.

Cutest Toddler Ever...

My Brother often asks me "so what did the cutest baby ever do today?" (speaking of zayden) I always tell him a cute thing he did. I also am forgetting all those cute little things he did because I don't write them down. ever. So I am starting with one Zayden did today, changing my brothers lingo to toddler, because there is a new baby in the house who also does the cutest things ever.
...

Zayden wasn't being still when I put him down for a nap, this means that Mommy doesn't lay down with him, and he has to fall asleep by himself. He doesn't like it when I do that too much. I left the room telling him I will see him when he wakes up. I wait by the door for the fun to begin.

Zayden cried, asking me to "lay down, LAY DOWN..... lay down pease (please)?". I see light from under the door, meaning he opened the shutters, he got off his bed and cried under the door. "Mommy, where are you?"

20 seconds or so of this, then complete silence.

I hear him climb back in bed, the light then vanishes (meaning he shut the shutters) then went to sleep.

I just loved that he made that effort to open the shutters because he was not going to sleep, then shut them before he gave up the fight.

Cutest Toddler Ever!
